Nationals Park on the Anacostia River

    Thursday, July 31, 2008

by Timothy Tilghman

The Washington Nationals are celebrating their fourth season of baseball by hosting ballgames in their brand new stadium that rests alongside the Anacostia River. Nationals Park is an incredibly accommodating modern sports facility.

Nats fans are going to thoroughly enjoy the new venue. Visitors will be impressed with the expansiveness of the ballpark and the overwhelming view of the diamond. One would be hard-pressed to locate a bad seat anywhere in the stands. The radical design enhances the viewing pleasure for the spectator.

The Metrorail system continues to operate ineptly at transporting fans to reach the facility on time for the opening pitch. The concession counter employees appear to be more concerned with what is transpiring behind the counter rather than acknowledging those patrons in line for service.

The Washington Senators departed the Capitol after the 1971 baseball season. The District of Columbia welcomed the Washington Nationals to play ball at RFK Stadium for three seasons from 2005 through 2007. Congratulations are certainty in order to WDC on building a magnificent ballpark.
